The Power Of Prayer

Bible: James 5:13-18; Psalm 92:12 (KJV) James 5:13-18; 13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit . Psalm 92:12; 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Today's devotional Message: We shall take a look at

Evil Days Are Here

Bible: Revelation 12:12 & Revelation 8:13 Revelation 12:12;   12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Revelation 8:13; 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! A lot of serious believers are looking for what to do in order to survive in these perilous times. One day, a certain brother who had just finished a seven-day dry fast in which he prayed for all kinds of breakthroughs, was coming back home after work. He had to pass through a security checkpoint, as he had been doing for almost 15 years. He did not know that his prayers had annoyed the enemy. As he was going, the security man shouted at him, “Stop! What do y

Dream Monitors

Bible: Genesis 20:3-6; 41:8-32 (KJV) Genesis 20:3-6; 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife. 4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? 5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this. 6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Genesis 41:8-32; 8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh. 9 Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my

The Valley Of Confusion

Bible : Joel 3:1-14 (KJV) - 1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;  5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7 Behold, I will raise them out of t

Let God Fight For You

1 Samuel 17:43-47 (KJV)   -  43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.  The best season in any battle is whe

Confronting Your Confrontation

Victory begins when you learn to arrest your arresters, challenge your challenges and confront your confrontations. This is the main subject of today’s devotional study. The Psalmist highlights what it means to confront satanic confrontations. If somebody is calling himself or herself a witch or wizard and continues to threaten you, command him or her to have divine problems, and he or she will not be able to operate again. Bible Reading: Psalms 68:20-24; Psalms 41:8 (KJV) Psalms 68:20-24; 20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death. 21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. 22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: 23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. 24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in

The Mystery of Fasting

Isaiah 58:5-7, Zech. 7:5-6, Matt. 6:17-18 WHAT IS FASTING? 1. Fasting is abstaining from food whether completely or partially for a period of time. Kindly note that food causes a fall of man; the first sin in the Bible was a result of uncontrolled appetite. 2. Fasting is a period when the Christian abstain from eating in order to spend extra time with God in prayer, studying and meditation. As you look through the scriptures, you will find so many people who fasted; – The disciples. Matthew 17:21 – Samuel. 1 Samuel 7:6 – Elijah. 1 Kings 19:4-8  – Paul. Acts 9:9  – John the Baptist. – Esther. Esther 4:16 – Daniel. Daniel 1 &10 – Jesus. Matthew 4:1-2 There are at least thirty five (35) records of fast by people in the Bible. 1. Daniel fasted for 21 days. Daniel 10 2. Moses fasted for 40 days. Deut. 9 3. Joshua fasted for 40 days. Exo. 24  4. Elijah fasted for 40 days. 1 Kings 19 5. Jesus fasted for 40 days. Matthew 4 6. Paul fasted for 3 days but did a lot more. Acts 9. REASONS WHY W

Your Sins Will Find You Out

Numbers 32:23 – “But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.” It has been a very interesting time: there are plenty of preachers who don’t tell people that sin is terrible. They don’t tell people that there is Hell fire, they don’t warn people against the disasters and the dangers. But the words I am bringing to you today is that, if you live in sin, be sure that your sins will find you out. There are two (2) things that have express ticked to Hell fire. 1) The voice of the blood 2) Sin and iniquity “Though hands join in hands, the wicked shall not go unpunished” – He did not say that you won’t be forgiven, you will be forgiven but the consequences of it shall not go. You can claim the mercy of God but the mercy too is not guaranteed because the Bible says, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy on.” * Sin will weaken your senses * Sin will injure your conscience * Sin will obscure your sense of God * Sin will take y

Encourage Yourself In The Lord

Scriptures:  Isaiah 26:3   ~  3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You .   1 Samuel 30:6-8 : ~   6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. 7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. 8 And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. I bring forth the word to you from scriptures, and what I’m admonishing you to do is what David did: ‘encourage yourself in the Lord’ . Even if people are not encouraging you, encourage yourself in the Lord. Discouragement is a terrible disease. Let me tell you again the vision that person

Get more sleep

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalm 127:2 NKJV It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. Illness, stress, family problems, job demands, etc., rob us of sleep. And when we constantly run on low battery power it shows up in our attitudes, our relationships and our performance. The Bible says: 1) ‘It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep.’ 2) ‘I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety’ (Psalm 4:8 NKJV). 3) ‘When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet’ (Proverbs 3:24 NKJV). Sleep is an act of trust: when you go to sleep the world is in God’s hands, not yours. And it will get along very well, even if you’re not awake to control things. When you awaken tomorrow morning, just like God giving Israel fresh manna, He will give you the grace needed. Jeremiah

Divine Upbringing for Your Children

The word of God says,  Train up a child in the way he should go,  And when he is old he will not depart from it.  ~  Proverbs 22:6 Everywhere i go... couples often ask, “How can I raise Godly children”?  I sense these parents are longing for me to give them a formula in which to input their offspring so that children who love and respect the Lord will pop out. However, as most seasoned parents understand, this cannot be reduced to a formula, but requires a great amount of wisdom gleaned from biblical principles. Therefore, please understand these ten keys are not meant to be an all inclusive parenting manual, but rather major biblical points of consideration that God has shown Chris and over the last twenty years as we raised our three sons. We readily admit that we made mistakes along the way, but our God was gracious to confirm what we did right and to gently teach us through our mistakes. Hopefully you can benefit from all He has shown us. 1)     Develop a Passionate Relation

Kill Them Before They Kill You

SCRIPTURE READING: Deuteronomy 32:39; 2 Kings 19:35 (KJV) Deuteronomy 32:39; 39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 2 Kings 19:35; 35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. God has a prophetic instruction for you in today’s devotional. Stop the enemy before he stops you. Deal with the enemy before he deals with you. Attack the enemy before he attacks you. When you imbibe this principle, God will do anything in order to support you. God can even command angels of death to invade the camp of your enemies after the order of the onslaught of the Assyrians. The angel of death is God’s messenger or weapon for terminating powers that have vowed to terminate your life. Thi

The reasons why small churches don’t grow & Solution

Before I get into the reasons why small churches don’t grow, there’s nothing wrong with being a small church. ( I have seen many smaller churches demonstrating the raw power of God than big churches! You actually have a lot of advantages over larger churches) All I know is that almost every small church leader I speak to wants his or her church to grow. Just because your church is small now, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way! The typical size of a church in the Africa 90, US is 89 people, and probably smaller in the UK 60% of churches have less than 100 adults in attendance and only 2% have more than 1,000 coming on a Sunday morning. So now we know what we’re working with, let’s help you buck these trends and take a look at the root causes of stifled church growth. What causing small church not to grow 1. It’s NOT because you don’t want growth The very fact you’re reading this post means you’re serious about taking your church forward. I have yet
