Babies in The Temple ~ Gal 4:1-3

Babies in the Temple

In the book of Gal 4:1-3,
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world
KJV, American Edition
No matter how beautiful or handsome you are. No matter how wonderful you think your destiny is. No matter what power God has given you to fulfill your mandate etc. You will not enter into it as long as you remain a child. The first major issue in your life you need to work on as a Christian is that you must grow. No one will give a three year old a real gun as a toy because it is too much power, but he will be given a toy. Many of us are just playing with toys.

The kind of prayers we pray at MFM is enough to crack open any warehouse of witches and recover that which has been stolen. It's enough to open the warehouse of Heaven, but note, ANYTHING GOD HAS KEPT IN STORE FOR YOU WILL REMAIN IN THAT STORE UNTIL YOU GROW. One of the greatest tragedies in the church is that the church has become a big nursery school. Pastors sit down to settle quarrel between husband and wife; a quarrel that shouldn't take a couple of minutes to resolve. You have been sleeping with a woman for 15 years and all of a sudden, you are concluding that she is a witch! It's a sign of being a baby.

I decree upon your life that you must grow in Jesus name.
Many who claim to be growing are not growing, they are just getting fat. There is a difference between vertical growth and horizontal growth. Many people are growing horizontally, they pray 'fire' prayers, but 'fire' prayers alone will not make you grow. There are other things you need to consider: your level of holiness, your level of prayer, your level of bible reading all have to change. Another characteristic of a baby is they don't know what is important and what isn't. Have you ever noticed how Christians rush to miracle services? Why? Because children love the spectacular, but only the matured are interested in love, peace, patience, discipline, brokeness.

Many years in Kano, somebody called for a prayer meeting. He distributed flyers which read that death is coming, so, everybody must come to pray. Before the meeting could begin the venue was already jammed! Filled to the brim! When he got there, he began preaching repentance for the kingdom of God is at hand. He kept on preaching that people should change their lifestyle and ensure they make it to Heaven. The multitude began to hiss and started walking out. They didn't understand that there is a physical death and a spiritual death.

In those days at Ibadan, in the early seventies, a man began to preach, "God has told me that this school said he's coming. In Sunday evening, God is going to rain down money into the bags of whoever will come to this meeting! Come with your bag! Come with your bag!" Beloved, it was an interesting meeting. People brought "Ghana must go" bags and all sorts of bags. The man began to pray, "Oh Lord! Fill these bags with money! Money! Money! Money! Money! Owo! Owo! Owo!" The audience were shouting, "amin (amen)! amin (amen)!" After praying for about 20 minutes and sweating, he now said, "it's getting close for the money to come down, but meanwhile, everybody here empty your pockets into the altar now. If not, money will not enter your bag." People emptied their pockets at the altar and they continued the prayer, "Money! Come come come come" and the audience replied, "amen! amen! amen!" The preacher now said, "40 amen!" Where the audience were shouting 40 amens, he packed the money and vanished!

Babies in the house of God.
As a young believer, we used to have two kinds of preachers in my church. There was a group of preachers called revivalists. We loved them, when they come, they would turn the whole place upside down with clapping and shouting. Some of them will be playing accordions. They will be jumping from bench to bench. The whole place will be in uproar. We loved them and when people see them, they are happy.

We used to have a pastor in our church. His name was Pastor Awolowo and he was also allowed to preach, but anytime people see him on the pulpit, they would hiss and grumble saying, "they've brought this elderly man here again". People hated him because he did not excite them like the revivalists, but it was from the mouth of this man I first heard that there is somebody in the bible called the antichrist. it was from the mouth of this man that I first heard that a time will come when you have to receive the 6-6-6 mark on your head if you have not been raptured. It was from this man I began to hear about strong man. All our revivalist preachers taught us nothing. They only got us excited saying, "you're going to the top! you're going to the top! you're going to the top! you're going to the top!" While everyone responds saying, "amen! amen! amen!"

The reason we loved the revivalist pastors and not the Pastor Awolowo kind was because we were basically babies. Babies. There are babies in the temple.

If we call a meeting now, "Possess your possession", people will come. If we distribute a flyer saying we want to study the nature of hell fire, nature of heaven, many people will not turn up. Like children, many don't know how to value things. You offer a child a 50 or 1000 naira note and you place it side by side with biscuit (cookie), the baby will pick the biscuit not knowing the money can buy the biscuit many times over. Many Christians are the same. When it comes to materialism. I pray that you will grow.

There are people who have been Christians for TEN or even 20 years and yet, they still cannot lead a person to Christ. They have never led anybody they know to Christ. They prefer to be fed with milk.

Who is a baby?
  • A baby is someone who is utterly dependent on another
  • A baby is a person who cannot fend for himself. Today this mountain; tomorrow that mountain
  • A baby is a person who often times is amused by rubbish
  • A baby is a person who seems to put into his mouth anything he finds lying on the ground
Do not struggle to be known in church, struggle for growth. Do not struggle to go to the pulpit, but settle for growth. Stop seeking for recognition, settle for growth. If you have grown no body can stop you, if you have grown nobody can take your place. Instead of grumbling, complaining, nitpicking what is wrong with a church, grow!

Power Against Dream Criminals

Dealing with dream criminals: Dreaming is a natural way in which the spirit world breaks out into our lives. Dreams can be described as the dark speech of the spirit. They can be keys to unlocking the door to the inner world. Dreams have been referred to as the speech of the spirit. They are means of revelation. Unfortunately, modern men and women have chosen to either ignore dreams altogether or to fear that an interest in them is lack of civilization. The fact is that if we would listen, dreams can help us find increased spiritual victory and help.   Dreams – Sources of Revelation Once we have the revelation that dreams can be a key to unlocking the door to the spirit world, we can take some vital steps. First, we can specifically pray inviting God to inform us through our dreams. Secondly, we should declare war when dreams are used against us and thirdly, we should learn how to interpret dreams. The best way to discover the meaning of dreams is to ask the
